    Layne's Raw Deal

Nothing beats the summer heat like raw food cuisine! Not only are vegetables and fruits a great source of water to replenish but also full of fiber, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. Furthermore, by eating foods in a more natural, uncooked form, eaters also benefit by taking in enzymes that are typically lost through higher-temperature cooking.  The results often tend to be natural weight loss, more energy and improved health.

But let’s face it, eating 100 percent raw can be challenging. Ideally, a great general rule of thumb is to make sure that at least 75 percent of your daily food intake is raw, unprocessed and uncooked, with 25 percent being allowed for cooked foods. However, introducing just a few raw food meals in your daily diet TODAY is a good place to start. Try adding more fruit, salad, and raw nuts and seeds and notice how you feel.

Also, making a smoothie in the blender is an easy and delicious way to make a quick meal (I throw 1 frozen or fresh banana, a handful of greens such as kale or spinach, a handful of blueberries, a cup or so of water into a blender first thing in the morning). Believe it or not, you cannot taste the greens in your smoothie, so it makes a sweet and refreshing way to get more of those superfoods into your diet.

What else consists of a raw food meal? Well, it’s a lot more than chopped vegetables or peaches! Since I began my journey I have enjoyed raw foods like “Cream” of Broccoli Soup, Mexican Tostadas with Walnut Taco “Meat,” Sesame Crackers with Almond “Cheese,” Sun Burgers, Chocolate Mousse and much more! But, again, a simple place to start is by introducing more fruit, nuts, and vegetables.

The best part is that you do not have to spend a lot of time preparing raw food, and it does not have to be as difficult as you might assume. It can also taste absolutely delicious and most clients find that raw food cuisine helped them curb their sweet tooth and reduce consumption of  bread products. They also felt more energy and began to naturally shed excess weight!

But the best way to test a theory is to experiment for yourself! Therefore, I put together a complimentary recipe of one of my favorite easy summer creations that you will love. Click HERE for a wonderful and SIMPLE recipe for Cucumber Watercress Soup that will cool you down and cleanse your system while satisfying your taste buds!

Also, I am excited to offer a coaching series specifically designed for those curious about raw foods. It is a great way to introduce yourself to the raw food lifestyle, full of information, recipes and coaching tools to get you started. This four-week series will be offered through recorded conference calls that you can keep and refer to later, plus tons of other goodies that you’ll love and find invaluable.

The best part? It is totally affordable for any budget. Click HERE for more information and workshop outline! But decide soon, it starts next week and space is limited!!!
